Panela Infusion

San Carlos Whole Cane Sugar (Panela)

It is an energetic drink, easy to prepare and very economic, too. Aguapanela is so versatile it is served as a cold drink or hot beverage (for cold days).

Ingredients:

2 vasos

  • 5 tablespoons SAN CARLOS WHOLE SUGAR CANE
  • 3 cups water
  • 20 spearmint leaves
  • 3-4 lemons, juiced
  • Ice to taste

Preparation:

In a jar, add water, SAN CARLOS WHOLE SUGAR CANE and lemon juice, stir until panela is dissolved, check the flavor. Grind spearmint leaves with a pestle and mortar, add them to the jar and stir well. Put to refrigerate at least 6 hours before serving. Add plenty of ice before serving.
